Cupressaceae cypress family

• Leaves are needle-like or scale-like.
• Bark is generally stringy in nature, flaking or peeling in vertical strips, although also scaly in some genera and sometimes square cracked and even smooth in others.
• The seed cones vary from woody to berry-like and fleshy.
