laurel family
The laurel or Lauraceae family is a very large family of about 45 genera and over 2700 species worldwide. They are found mainly in warm temperate and tropical regions in Southeast Asia and South America.
Lauraceae includes well-known species such as bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), avocado (Persea americana) and camphor tree ( Cinnamomum camphora).
