Ulmaceae elm family

The elm or Ulmaceae family includes the elms (genus Ulmus), and the zelkovas (genus Zelkova). It also used to include the hackberry genus (Celtis), but hackberry has been moved to the cannabis (Canabaceae) family.

Members of the family are widely distributed throughout the northern temperate zone.
