Cape Leeuwin wattle or albizia is in the pea or Fabaceae family and occurs naturally on the southwest coast of Western Australia. It is a small, rounded deciduous tree that can reach up to 5 m tall.

  • Deciduous leaves are bipinnate and up to 20 cm long.
  • Flowers greenish-yellow, bottlebrush-like, and appear in June, continuing throughout the winter months (in Australia).
  • Seed pods are flat, brown, up to 10 cm in length.
