Fraxinus sieboldiana

Siebold ash or Japanese flowering ash is in the olive or Oleaceae family and is native to China, Korea and Japan.

• Leaves are opposite, pinnately compound, to 20 cm long, with 5–7 leaflets 3.5 cm wide, abruptly acuminate, serrated margins, midrib downy.
• Flowers are in string-like clusters to 15 cm, blooming late in spring, very showy.
• Fruit is a samara 2.5–3 cm long, oblanceolate in shape.
