Carpinus polyneura

Chinese hornbeam is a member of the birch or Betulaceae family and is native to China (provinces of Fujian, northern Guangdong, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, northeast Sichuan and Zhejiang). It is slow growing and densely branched, rarely reaching over 15 m tall.
