Mitraria coccinea

Chilean mitre flower is in the African violet or Gesneriaceae family and is native to the temperate rainforests of Chile. It is a woody climbing plant.

• Leaves are evergreen and on reddish brown stems.
• Flowers are very attractive scarlet-orange and tubular, blooming in late spring and summer.
