Akebia quinata

Five-leaf akebia or chocolate vine is a member of the Lardizabalaceae family and is a shrub native to Japan, China and Korea. It grows up to 10 m in height.

• Leaves are compound with 5 leaflets.
• Flowers are clustered in racemes and are chocolate-scented, with three or four sepals.
• Fruit is a sausage-shaped pod containing white, edible pulp with seeds.
