Myricaria germanica
[unknown] speciesMyricaria germanica is in the tamarisk or Tamaricaceae family, native to Eurasia, from the Pyrenees and Fennoscandia through the Alps and Carpathians to the Caucasus and Kashmir. It is a shrub up to 2.5 m high with rod-like branches.
- Leaves are linear-lanceolate, 2–5 mm long, bluish-green , obtuse, sessile, glaucous, often overlapping.
- Flowers are pale pink, in terminal, spike-like racemes 4–12 cm long; petals are mostly 5-merous, about 4 mm long.
- Fruit is a capsule 8–11 mm long, narrowly pyramidal, with crested seeds.
