Ginkgoaceae ginko family

The ginkgo (also spelled "ginko") or Ginkoaceae family is a prehistoric family of gymnosperms which began appearing about 270 million years ago in fossil records.

Today, only one living relative remains, the ginko tree, or Ginko biloba.
